In 1994, a gifted kid Ivan Taslimson arrived in Reno, Nevada, settling in town of Fernley and studying at Fernley High School, finishing school in 1 year. Later he is residing in Seattle, attending University of Washington and performing Post-Doctoral level research during his undergrad years with architecture professor from Harvard Graduate School of Design.
At age 19, he founded SolsticeX during college. In 1998, he advised Amazon executives to invest in Fernley & Reno, Nevada, which later bringing thousands of jobs, billions of dollars of investment from Seattle & Bay Area (Silicon Valley) to the region and through direct & indirect multiplier effect, significantly boosting the state economy. Inspired, other tech ventures & investors followed suit. He graduated from Washington in 3 years and quitted his Harvard research.
Soon enough, while Walt Disney was negotiating with him and Yahoo approached him, Microsoft put a quick offer for his company and aggressively lured him to join one of the largest internet group at the time, MSN (now-Windows Live). As 22-years-old CEO of SolsticeX and Designer of Microsoft worldwide, he was riding high on global tech scene. In same year, he was invited to a global event hosted by US President in Washington D.C.
Fast forward early 2006, his company became 'unicorn', before the term was invented. In 2007, SolsticeX was valued at US$ 1.26 billion with 16 offices around the world. He was quickly noticed by many heads of states, figureheads, organizations and medias. However he stayed low profile & avoided publicities.
He is now a legendary figure in Indonesia, his origin, and it all starts here from humble beginnings.. at Fernley School, a town of Fernley, in Reno, Nevada.
